SEO Sasquatch
Live field journal — subject: ourselves

Tracking the Sasquatch

We ask clients to trust our reporting — so we report on ourselves first. This page publishes this website’s own measurable performance. No cherry-picking: the numbers update with every deploy.

Consider it case study #1 of our own method: the subject is this site, the field notes are below, and the reporting format is the same one our clients get. If we can’t keep our own site fast, findable, and honestly measured, you shouldn’t pay us to do it to yours.

Lab scores

How fast is this site in the lab?

Lighthouse runs against key routes on every deploy — performance, accessibility, best practices, SEO, plus LCP and CLS. The same scores we’re graded on for client work.

No sightings yet

First measurement publishes with the launch build.

This slot never shows a number we didn’t measure. When the launch pipeline runs, the scores land here — dated, unrounded, and permanent.

Your visit, measured right now

Lab numbers are a controlled expedition. This slot measures the page you are actually on, in your browser, on your connection.

Measured in your browser by the web-vitals library — not simulated

What do LCP, CLS, and INP actually mean?

LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) is how long the biggest thing on screen takes to show up. CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) is how much the page jumps around while loading. INP (Interaction to Next Paint) is how fast the page reacts when you tap or click.

Google calls these Core Web Vitals and folds them into ranking. We call them the difference between a sighting and a story about one — which is why they’re measured on your visit, not just in our lab.

The promise ledger

What do we commit to publishing here?

The same accountability we sell. Each entry below is a standing deliverable for this page — logged, dated, and kept even when the numbers are unflattering.

Why go this far? Because we’re a new agency without a shelf of client logos, and we think that’s an argument for more evidence, not less. The rest of the proof lives in our field teardowns and the complete sample audit. We never guarantee rankings — we guarantee the work and the reporting, and this page is where that guarantee is enforced in public.
